the forgotten pupil
Going to school may seem like a daily activity to many pupils who aspire to make it in life, however access to basic and special education still remains a pipe dream for the visually impaired children who struggle to make it to school but once there the facilities are over stretched thus denying them the quality education they deserve. It might be common perception that the visually impaired (VI) schools in the town areas are more equipped compared to the ones in the rural areas. Well, according to my research the situation is the same only different casts and location. My documentary clearly outlines the unending struggle and thirst for education for the visually impaired pupils in two distinct counties of Kenya: Bungoma and Kiambu.
